Dominic Pistritto is a multi-published author, filmmaker, and creative visionary with a passion for storytelling across multiple mediums.

His journey as a writer began in high school, where he honed his craft in creative writing classes, particularly under the guidance of Mrs. Haist at Grassfield High School. One of his earliest short stories, True Power of Music, was inspired by teenage innocence and was born from a classroom writing prompt—an early testament to his ability to weave thought-provoking narratives.

Since then, he has gone on to publish multiple books, including Writer’s Block, a psychological deep dive into the mind of a young writer, and Project Apex One, a futuristic sci-fi adventure. He is currently developing sequels for both works, expanding on their intricate worlds and complex characters. Another notable work, The Marksman: A Knight’s Tale, blends historical fantasy with modern heroism.

His passion for storytelling extends beyond literature and into the realm of film. As a student at Old Dominion University, he is pursuing a degree in Cinema and Television, with the ultimate goal of adapting his novels into films. His background in film studies allows him to craft stories with cinematic depth, bridging the gap between literature and visual storytelling.

In addition to his studies, he is an active participant in literary and arts communities. He frequently attends book festivals, vendor shows, and markets, showcasing his works and engaging with readers. Dominic has been featured in a PBS segment, highlighting his journey as a writer and his creative contributions. His upcoming appearances include events such as The Z Fringe Festival, the Suffolk Earth and Arts Festival, and the Spring Singers Market, where he will continue sharing his passion for storytelling with new audiences.
